Rozo Systems Appoints Philippe Nicolas and Eric Friis to Board of Advisors
Storage Industry Veterans Bring Deep Storage Market Knowledge
SAN MATEO, CALIFORNIA, October 05, 2015 — Rozo Systems, a leading provider of software-defined scale-out NAS storage solutions, announced today the appointment of storage industry veterans Philippe Nicolas and Eric Friis to its board of advisors. Nicolas and Friis bring to Rozo Systems a wealth of experience advising high-growth companies in rapidly expanding markets.
Philippe Nicolas joins the Rozo Systems advisory board after a four-year tenure at Scality, an object storage vendor, as product and industry strategist. He was instrumental in driving product development, market adoption and company visibility. Previously he spent many years at Brocade, Symantec, Veritas Software, SGI and Compaq. Nicolas was also active in various industry body associations such as SNIA, ODCA, OCP and OpenStack, participating in the development and adoption of standards. He is currently member of the board of advisors at Guardtime and Solix Technologies.
Eric Friis is a proven enterprise sales leader experienced in building and leading high performance sales, business development, services and support teams. He is a start-up specialist who excels in establishing early momentum, from launching and funding companies to closing key contracts that represent foundational milestones for the company and its market share. Eric was a key contributor in the start-up phases of Maginatics, Cleversafe, Maxiscale and NextiraOne.
